GHOSTERY BROWSER TOOL PRIVACY POLICY

Ghostery, a service of Evidon, Inc., operates the Ghostery add-on, extension, or plug-in (referred to collectively as the "Ghostery Browser Tool"). Ghostery does not collect any data about you or your use of the Ghostery Browser Tool, except to facilitate the following Ghostery features:

• If you opt-in to the Tracker Fetch feature, the Ghostery Browser Tool will periodically auto-update the list of trackers it can detect. If you do not opt-in for this service, you can update the tool manually through the Ghostery Browser Tool menu, or wait until a new release of Ghostery, which will include an updated list of trackers. The Tracker Fetch feature is voluntary and opt-in.
• Selecting "view script source" from the Ghostery context menu initiates a call to Ghostery.com. This call includes data about the page and source about which more information is requested. These requests are cached for efficient operation. No PII is collected or stored during this call, and such calls are subject to the Ghostery.com privacy policy. These calls are not made unless specifically requested by the user (via a click on "view script source"), and are not required for other aspects of Ghostery operation.
• GhostRank is a feature that helps Ghostery and Evidon discover new trackers on the internet, view Ghostery Browser Tool performance and use statistics, and follow industry compliance with privacy and choice standards for behavioral advertising. If you opt-in to GhostRank, the Ghostery Browser Tool will send certain information to Ghostery about the pages you visit on the internet consistent with these goals. Ghost Rank data is used only in aggregate form and is stored in a format that makes future attribution to you as an individual impossible . Ghost Rank data will be shared as aggregated, non-personal statistics, such as the number of users who encountered a certain tracker on a particular website or that a behavioral ad was seen at a particular location without proper notice. Ghost Rank data contains no personally identifiable information and will never be used for advertising purposes. GhostRank is a voluntary, opt-in feature.
