How can I find Ghostery Midnight’s log files on my computer?

If you are experiencing issues with Ghostery Midnight, our Support Team may ask you to send the Ghostery Midnight log files stored on your machine in order to help troubleshoot. These files can be found in the following directories:

 

Mac:

To find Proxy/Service Logs:

  • Finder -> Go -> Go to Folder…
  • Type /Library/Application Support/Ghostery Midnight/Logs
  • The log file should be named ‚Ghostery Midnight Proxy.log‘.

Frontend/User Specific Logs:

  • Finder -> Go -> Go to Folder…
  • Type ~/Library/Application Support/Ghostery Midnight/Logs
  • The log file should be named ‚/XXX-XX-XX.ui.error.log‘ with the date. When sending log files to our Support team, please ensure you are sending the file for the date that the issue occurred on.

 

Windows:

Proxy/Service Logs:

  • Open File Explorer
  • Navigate to %PROGRAMDATA%\Ghostery Midnight\Logs
  • The log file should be named ‚Ghostery Midnight Proxy.log‘.

Frontend/User Specific Logs:

  • Open File Explorer
  • Navigate to %APPDATA%\Ghostery Midnight\Logs
  • The log file should be named ‚/XXX-XX-XX.ui.error.log‘ with the date. When sending log files to our Support team, please ensure you are sending the file for the date that the issue occurred on.
