What it does

We catch sneaky trackers in the act—even the newest ones—to stop companies from building a hidden profile on you. Anti-Tracking stops techniques that aren't yet on any filter list.

Identifying fields stripped before the request leaves your browser. The site still works; the tracker doesn't get to know it was you.
Find Anti-Tracking in the Privacy Protection settings tab.

How it works

An on-device model watches how requests behave and matches them against patterns from the open WhoTracks.Me research project. When something looks like tracking, Ghostery strips identifying data or blocks the request before it reaches the tracker.

What you get

  • Stops cross-site tracking and behavioral profiling
  • Blocks fingerprinting attempts that identify your device
  • Drops tracking pixels, beacons, and pings
  • Powered by the open WhoTracks.Me database
