Distractions

Hide common web clutter with a single switch

What it does

Many of today's distractions aren't ads at all. Short video feeds, social widgets, sign-in prompts, browser promotions, and notification prompts can still get in the way of what you came online to do. Distractions hides them across supported websites, with no custom filters or manual setup.

Turn each distraction on or off, and see which websites it applies to.

How it works

Each category of distraction has its own switch. Turn one on and Ghostery hides that kind of clutter on the websites listed under it. Notification prompts works differently: it blocks new prompts on all websites, so sites you already allowed can still send notifications.

What you get

  • One switch per category, so you choose what to hide
  • No custom filters or manual setup
  • See which websites each distraction applies to
  • Search the list by distraction or website
